Nigeria's Federal Government continues its crackdown on illegal courier operators, with the latest action taking place in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The Nigerian Postal Service led by the Courier and Logistics Regulatory Department enforcement team conducted a clampdown on 23 illegal courier operators near Area 11 Garki and surrounding areas on Thursday, according to Daily Post's report.
Impounded dispatch motorcycles belonging to unregistered, unlicensed, and illegal courier operators were seized during the operation.
Mr Shonde, the General Manager Courier and Logistics Regulatory Department, reiterated the government's commitment to clamp down on illegal courier operators operating in Nigeria.
Over 500 unlicensed and illegal courier and logistics operators were recently clamped down in a recent clampdown, according to Assistant General Manager, Worimegbe Banks, who led the enforcement activities in Lagos State and Abuja.
