The Kogi State High Court of Justice has issued a warning to all parties involved in the motion on notice filed by the state’s Attorney-General against the Attorney-General of the Federation and five others regarding the concession of the Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited and the National Iron Ore Mining Company.
The Court restrained the federal government from continuing with the concession process and extended its restraining order pending the hearing of the motion on notice. The Chief Judge of the state, Justice Josiah Majebi, urged all parties involved to adhere to the court's orders and be diligent throughout the hearing of the case.
He warned that disobeying court orders conflicts with the tenets of democracy and organized societies and charged the lawyers to uphold the ethics of the legal profession.
