UNITED KINGDOM — London Metropolitan Police are searching for a suspect after a woman reported being assaulted while walking through Burgess Park in Southwark, South London.
The woman in her 20s claims that the man approached her and made inappropriate comments before following and assaulting her between 9:30 am and 10:30 am on May 26. The Sun reports.
According to the victim's account, the man caught up with her after she tried to hide and suggested that he had a weapon before assaulting her.
The Metropolitan Police are now seeking a man who is described as black, in his late 20s or early 30s, of a large build, with a scar under his left eye, bushy eyebrows, a close-cut beard, and a London accent. He was wearing black jogging bottoms and a black durag or hat with no visible logo.
Detective Constable Timea Fazekas of the Metropolitan Police has asked the public with any information or who was in Burgess Park at the time to come forward.
