— In what can only be described as a truly bizarre incident, a performance at an outdoor concert took a turn for the absurd when an artist proclaimed that he had become a bat.The incident occurred during a performance by a popular indie rock band at a festival in the park. The artist in question, who had been performing an opening act, suddenly climbed onto the stage speaker. He then stood on top of the speaker, his arms spread wide, and proclaimed to the stunned audience that he had overnight turned into a bat.
The crowd erupted into laughter, assuming it was some sort of joke. But things quickly escalated when the artist flapped his arms and launched himself off the speaker, awkwardly flapping his way into the air like a newborn bird.
The crowd was stunned, then erupted in gasps of amazement and laughter as the artist struggled to keep his balance and stay in the air. The band on stage had stopped playing, watching in disbelief as the artist flew off into the distance, his arms flapping wildly like a bird trying to take flight.
The artist's journey was brief, however, as he soon came crashing back down to the ground, landing in a bush with a loud thump. With the crowd laughing and cheering, the artist emerged from the bush, a little bruised and a lot embarrassed.
But he wasn't done yet. With a determined look on his face, the artist climbed back onto the stage, only to declare that he was now a superhero with the power to fly. This time, he leaped off the stage with more gusto, his arms flapping like a seagull, but only managed to make it a couple of feet before crashing onto the ground. The band had resumed playing by now, determined to ignore the strange unfolding situation on stage.
Undeterred, the artist stumbled back onto stage, now declaring that he was a vampire and had accidentally flown into a tree. The audience, now in fits of laughter, howled their support and encouragements. Someone even threw a fake bat on stage.
The artist clearly hadn't thought this through, as he continued to improvise his performance of bat-like flying and high pitched squealing on stage. It didn't help that now multiple bats started flying around the stage area.
In the end, the artist was finally convinced to give up his role as a bat-flyer, and meekly made his way off stage to the uproarious cheers of the crowd. He was never heard from again, but the memory of his performance will live on as one of the most bizarre incident stories that the concert-goers will ever have to tell.
One attendee of the festival astutely noted, "I've heard of stage-diving, but this is taking it to the next level. Literally."
