Finnish authorities have released Simon Ekpa, a pro-Biafra separatist agitator, just hours after he was arrested and questioned.

According to reports, police escorted him out of his apartment in Lahti before detaining him for a suspected crime in Finland.

The Finnish Central Criminal Police confirmed Ekpa's release on Thursday evening, stating that their operation and subsequent arrest were part of an ongoing preliminary investigation.

While the police did not disclose the details of the alleged crime, they noted that Ekpa had been released without charge and that they would continue their investigation.

Tommi Reen, a spokesperson for the Central Criminal Police, spoke to reporters and stated that the person in question was "suspected of a crime" but declined to provide any further information, adding that they would provide an update on Friday.
