A Musician in Washington on Tuesday contacted Police immediately after a parcel delivery service left military-style SIG Sauer SIG716 at his apartment door.
Mr Seth Horvitz, 38, who lives in the northeast quadrant of the US capital was looking forward to taking delivery of his new 39-inch flatscreen TV he ordered from Amazon when he was stunned to see a military-grade assault rifle delivered instead.
The Parcel box was addressed to Mr Horvitz, but an invoice inside it suggested the gun was supposed to go to a Pennsylvania gun shop. Horvitz, said the police who confiscated the gun told him it was illegal in the District of Columbia to handle such a weapon.
He also contacted Amazon, UPS, the seller and his credit card company. At first, he said, “No one claimed any responsibility.” However
the seller of the television has refunded Horvitz.
