Reality TV personality Sidney Starr (legal name Sidney Favors) was arrested in Hapeville, Georgia, and faces multiple severe felony charges for the alleged sexual abuse of a minor.
The 37-year-old TV model was taken into custody on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the Embassy Suites hotel on International Boulevard in Hapeville. According to Fulton County Jail booking records, Starr is charged with battery against a child under 16, aggravated child molestation, and other.
She is currently being held at the Fulton County Jail without bond. Her next scheduled court appearance is August 25, 2026. The Hapeville Police Department confirmed the investigation has been officially turned over to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office for formal prosecution.
Arrest warrants issued state that Starr initially admitted to the immoral acts during an interview with investigators but maintained that the encounter was consensual. In a subsequent public statement released via TMZ, Starr "unequivocally denies the allegations against her" and stated her intention to fight the charges legally.
Her mother, Stephanie Favors, spoke out in her defense, telling reporters that the accusations are completely out of character and that she firmly stands behind her daughter. However, the Hapeville Police Department has declined to release further case facts, noting that no additional details will be made public because the matter involves a juvenile victim.
Starr rose to media prominence during season nine of VH1's Love and Hip Hop. She has also appeared on the Zeus Network's Baddies ATL, MTV’s Wild 'N Out, and had minor acting roles on Fox's Empire. Prior to her reality television career, she gained widespread internet notoriety in 2012 after fabricating a romantic relationship with rapper Chingy, a rumor she later retracted with a public apology.
