NIGERIA — A series of highly controversial video documentaries about the late Nigerian charismatic pastor and televangelist, Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly known as T. B. Joshua has been released by BBC. The report alleges widespread abuse, torture and assault by the late T.B. Joshua, founder of Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN). According to BBC News Africa, the allegations of abuse in a secretive Lagos compound span almost twenty years.
However, the church has responded to the BBC's report, describing the 3-part video documentary against the late TB Joshua as unfounded, and that the characters interviewed in the report were unknown to the church. According to church, “thousands of human beings have received dumbfounding miracles and tremendously benefited from the anointing and grace the Lord endowed with His servant. Journalism as a societal watchdog requires fairness, balance, and objectivity to command dignity, honour, and respect as the fourth estate of the realm.” – SCOAN
