NIGERIA — The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Wednesday directed all banks across the country to continue to issue and accept both the old and redesigned naira notes, declaring that both monies remain legal tender in Nigeria. A statement by the Acting Director, Corporate Communications, Mrs. Sidi Ali Hakama, which was issued to journalists on Wednesday, noted that the Supreme Court on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, granted the prayer of the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation to extend the use of old naira banknotes ad infinitum... independent.ng
