UNITED STATES — Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden, has filed a lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) over two agents who allegedly shared his personal tax information and sought to "embarrass" him in public interviews and Congressional testimony.
The suit states the IRS has not done enough to prevent further disclosure and seeks to ensure compliance with federal tax and privacy laws and damages for each unauthorised disclosure.
The IRS declined to comment on the ongoing litigation. Hunter Biden is currently facing a federal investigation into his business dealings that many Republicans are seeking to link to his father.
