According to the family, the incident occurred on Sept. 2, when a male crew member told the girl to use the first-class bathroom. After entering a few minutes later, he told her the seat was broken before leaving once more and then returning after she departed.
While using the bathroom, the teenager reportedly noticed the hidden iPhone, which appeared to be taping her. She took a picture of the phone with her own device before leaving the bathroom. The family claims the episode has left their daughter feeling "shocked and profoundly disturbed."
Law enforcement officers met the plane upon landing, and Massachusetts State Police escorted a flight attendant off the flight. The FBI has taken the lead in the case, as the alleged incident occurred in the air.
