UNITED KINGDOM — Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have left Frogmore Cottage, their UK home close to Windsor Castle. The cottage, which was gifted to the couple by Harry's late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, was refurbished by the duo at a cost of £2.4m. Sky New reports.

The couple were asked to move their remaining possessions out of the property weeks after Prince Harry's memoir Spare was published. The palace has not disclosed any details of the future occupants of the cottage although reports suggest it has been offered to Prince Andrew.

Prince Harry has been residing in the US with Meghan Markle since stepping down from royal duties in 2020. Harry has been vocal about the difficulties he faced during his time with the British royal family, which he elaborates on in his memoir Spare.

The prince has previously noted that he felt the need to step back from his royal duties because of the "toxic" stories about him in the British press. Harry was last in the UK earlier this month when he gave evidence at the High Court in a claim against the publisher of the Daily Mirror over alleged hacking.
