NIGERIA — In a bid to improve the efficiency of the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), the Minister of Aviation, Mr Hadi Siriki, has appointed broadcast journalist, Amaka Udeh-Walker, as the new General Manager for Public Affairs at NAMA.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Aviation, this appointment is part of the minister's effort to reorganize the sector and ensure efficiency. Udeh-Walker is one of the chosen candidates to lead some of the agencies, and her appointment comes as a welcome change to the agency.
Prior to her appointment, Udeh-Walker worked as a news anchor on Arise TV and also served as the Head of Programmes at Hot 98.3 FM, where she oversaw the affairs of the Programs Department and Presenters. Her work at Arise TV saw her being a top member of staff.
As the new General Manager for Public Affairs at NAMA, Udeh-Walker will work directly with the Director General/CEO, Mr Tayib Odunowo, and her appointment is expected to bring about a positive change in the management of public relations at the agency.
With Udeh-Walker's wealth of experience in the media industry and her commitment to excellence, the Minister of Aviation believes that her appointment will contribute to the growth and development of the agency.
