UNITED KINGDOM — London police reported that a vehicle collided with the front gates of Downing Street, the location of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's office and residence, on Thursday.
According to the police statement, the incident happened at around 4:20 pm, and armed officers immediately arrested a man on suspicion of criminal damage and dangerous driving at the scene.
The police have confirmed that there were no injuries reported. Enquiries are still ongoing, and cordons were in place along Whitehall, a main road running past Downing Street, where several government departments are based.
