In a surprising turn of events, thousands of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) were recovered from a forest in Nnewi, Anambra State by a hunter on Tuesday.

The incident was reported to a local radio station and has since gained attention from residents of the community and beyond.

Following the discovery, youth of the community have taken it upon themselves to sort the recovered PVCs at the Obi Umudim palace, as officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have yet to arrive at the scene.

The sorting process involves arranging the PVCs according to their respective wards, after which they will be distributed to their rightful owners.

It is unclear how the PVCs ended up in the forest or who left them there, but the recovery has sparked discussions on the need for heightened security measures to prevent the manipulation of the upcoming elections.
