Many people have been injured and several trapped after a train derailed, crashing into a slum in Nairobi, Kenya.
A number of people have been taken to the nearby Kenyatta National Hospital. Witnesses say the rescue effort is being hampered by large numbers of people that have gathered at the scene. The government has long warned the residents of Kibera not to put up houses right next to the railway.

Why do trains get derailed in the first place? Don't they run system checkup that everything is safe and sound? Safety measures are not taken into consideration here.
