"80% of all low vision and #blindness can be prevented or cured" ...WHO

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Eighty per cent of low vision and #blindness can be avoided or cured, e.g.:
• trachoma is being eliminated from the world as a cause of blindness;
• blindness in children from vitamin A deficiency and measles is being eliminated through primary health care interventions;
