The Moment- A group of 50 eminent Nigerians has sued President Goodluck Jonathan over the January 1, 2012 fuel price hike.
Also sued for the crisis, which paralysed the nation’s economy for over a week in January, were Senate President, David Mark; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal; the Petroleum Products Pricing and Regulatory Agency and the 36 state governors.
The eminent Nigerians include Professor Ben Nwabueze, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, Dr. Tunji Braithwaite, Dr. Kalu Idika Kalu and Professor Pat Utomi.
Others are the widow of the late Gani Fawehinmi, Ganiyat; Shehu Sani and Dr. Fredrick Fasheun, founder of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC).
