Man arrested for getting his dog drunk on vodka

A Montana man has been charged with animal cruelty for allegedly getting his dog so drunk on vodka that the Pomeranian registered a blood-alcohol level four times the legal limit for human drivers, the Independent Record reports.
The newspaper in Helena, Mont., says Todd Schrier, 49, was charged after police investigated a report of an intoxicated dog at Smith's Bar.
The officers found Arly II, a Pomeranian, unable to walk a straight line without falling over, according to a police report.
Officers reported that a drunk bar patron, who claimed part ownership of Arly II, said Schrier had given the dog a "to-go cup of vodka."
A vet found Arly II's blood-alcohol level at 0.348%, which is four times the limit for driving -- and almost at the level that is fatal to humans, according to The Record...
