There are three forms of Tobacco, namely smoking, chewing and sniffing tobacco. All these forms contain chemical substances (nicotine) that are very addictive and carcinogenic materials that cause cancer.

Who are those at risk?
- Children of smokers
- People who have friends that smoke. Some individuals get into smoking through peer pressure
- People living close to drinking and smoking bars.
- Communities or society where public smoking is permitted

Side effects of smoking:
- Causes Lung cancer
- Linked to heart disease
- Affects reproductive organs
- Linked to infertility in women
- causes mouth cancer
- Affects the eyes
- Linked to skin diseases

Preventive measures against smoking:
- Government should ban smoking in public areas
- Increase taxes on tobacco to discourage smoking
- Creating awareness through health programmes targeted at sensitizing the public on the dangers of smoking.
