5Yr-old boy reportedly killed by a BRT bus on Saturday afternoon in Palmgroove area of Lagos

NIGERIA — A 5-year-old boy was reportedly killed in an accident involving a Bus Rapid Transit, BRT on Saturday afternoon in Palmgroove area of Lagos. The boy alongside his mother and sibling were said to be crossing a BRT lane at Palmgroove inward Onipanu when they were knocked down by the BRT bus and immediately driven off by the driver. The boy died on the spot, while his mother and brother were rushed to the hospital. According to the Lagos Police Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin; “The corpse has been evacuated and deposited at the mortuary. The driver was later arrested and is in police custody. The investigation is ongoing.” News Agencies
