The dress, christened Volantis, lifted Lady Gaga about 70 inches off the ground.
The battery-powered dress was developed by a technology company in London known as Studio XO.
It features six booms each containing electric motors that power up propeller blades which help uplift the wearer. Beneath the propellers is a moulded body suit that the wearer gets into.
The Volantis is controlled via a remote controller through radio signals by another person and not the wearer. She became the first woman to pilot what is believed to be the first ever flying dress.
