DOCTOR ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY REMOVING PATIENT’S KIDNEYS

News reports have it that a certain Nigerian, Dr Sani, proprietor of Aminchi Clinic Wanka, Bauchi, has been arrested by the police for allegedly removing the kidney of his 23-year old patient, Abubarkar Buba from Bununu. the latter who is lying critically ill and on dialysis is said to need about N7million for kidney transplant to survive.
His condition allegedly got worse after Dr Sani operated upon him. The young man’s father said, the hospital referred him to a hospital in Kano after he was made to pay N10,000 for drugs, probably fully aware Abubakar might die.
Some years back in a similar case, a teenager was the victim of another doctor in Lagos, who was taken to hospital by his uncle for fever, the uncle returned home to get some food to the boy in hospital but upon his return in less than two hours later, the boy was dead; after an operation the uncle knew nothing about. it was latter discovered that the boy’s kidneys were missing.
