1. When your car engine begins to produce unusual vibrations, give rough or jittery sound at idle, you need to call your technician to have a check on your spark plugs.
2. Asides from having a low battery or being out of fuel, bad spark plugs could make your car not start. Faulty spark plugs could also affect or cause your battery to drain.
3. A bad spark plug could make your engine misfire. This means your car is not running smoothly as it should because one or more cylinders are not firing properly leading to higher amounts of emissions. This could also cause your vehicle to stop frequently.
4. When you notice a change in fuel economy, have a look at the plugs. Bad spark plugs can result to increase in fuel consumption. You will notice the ignition ends of your spark plugs have turned black.
5. When your car begins to jerk or move in a sluggish manner or accelerating poorly, it could be a sign of bad spark plugs.
However if your car has other related issues, it is advisable to go for a complete tune up.
