The Abuja Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has dismissed one of the petitions filed by the Action Alliance party (AA) that sought to challenge Bola Ahmed Tinubu's victory in the February 25 Presidential poll.

This development occurred after the petitioner’s lawyer withdrew the case, thereby becoming the first among the five petitions received by the court to lose a hearing.

The five-member panel of the court, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, rejected the petition and advised the remaining petitioners to be cooperative, cautioning them to refrain from bringing baseless applications that could waste the court's time.

Meanwhile, the counsels representing the President-Elect, Atiku and Obi also assured the court of their support and cooperation.
